Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I be doing preventative Maintenance?

The manufacturer of your equipment should provide guidance on scheduled maintenance. If they do not or the equipment has outlived the documentation or tribal knowledge, you should develop a plan and we can help.  If the equipment is valuable and has not been maintained in some time an evaluation is a good start, followed by developing a preventative maintenance schedule.  Their nothing more costly than unexpected downtime.

Does South Shore Controls only provide services on their equipment?

No. We will service most equipment after an evaluation and developed SOW. We understand that new equipment is not always an option and extending the life and improvement of current equipment is imperative process improvement.

When should I upgrade my equipment?

If your maintenance or critical spare parts are becoming scarce or already obsolete, it is time to seriously begin planning for equipment upgrades. Also, if your quality and/or safety teams are looking for improvements and analysis through data, it may be time to begin the discussion.

What is a legacy system integration?

In a legacy system integration, South Shore Controls incorporates new, modern technologies to upgrade equipment near the end of its lifecycle.
